Here it is again, July 4th, Independence Day 2019. Time to celebrate our nation’s birthday with beach, fun, sun, racing, music and fireworks here in our little slice of paradise which is Volusia County, Florida. The weather is hot and muggy so please take care of each other. Lots of water and limit your sun exposure or wear a reef-safe sunscreen please! We don’t want you burnt or killing our environment with those poisonous sunscreens so prevalant everywhere. And please, if you visit our beautiful beaches and waterways, please, please take your trash home with you, including the remains of your fireworks. So now after all that preaching I can tell you that there is so much going on starting Wednesday and lasting all the way through the holiday weekend with most of the fireworks displays on Thursday night in various locations across the county. I have searched out all the events I could find and listed them all in our Volusia.com calendar for your convenience, along with lots of other great activities. You can find it all here on our calendar, broken down by city if you like. Be safe! Enjoy! Have Fun and Take Care of Each Other Please! Happy 4th of July and Happy Birthday America!
